Kibbitznest, Inc carries a carefully curated selection of primarily scholarly and academic remainder books in the liberal arts category. Most of the books are from A, B, and C SENSE-rated academic presses and publishers. We add to our stock as we survey the preferences of our guests and patrons and the wider and local Chicago community.

We also accept used book donations, we love all books but specialize in the liberal arts genre. A large selection of donated used books are available throughout the store. Rare books are available primarily in the locked cases in the front area and the ‘reading room.”  Proceeds from the book sales fund the honorariums given to the scholars who lead the liberal arts discussions and other noted individuals in our special events. 

We also stock fun and interesting book-related, retro, and socially engaging gift items geared toward encouraging social interaction, traditional human communication, and intellectual stimulation.
